What is Magic Dragin?
Magic Dragin is a Windows utility that enables drag and drop workflows that are currently broken in new Outlook, Outlook on the web, Gmail, and similar email clients.
How does it work?
Drag and drop is limited in web apps like Outlook on the web and Gmail, and in web-based native apps like new Outlook, Superhuman, and Missive. These apps have a limited ability to allow drag and drop such that it often only works with Windows Explorer (if at all). Magic Dragin enhances these apps to enable drag and drop to any Windows application or web page.
Where can I drag files from?
New Outlook, Outlook on the web, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Gmail, Front, Missive, and Superhuman, running in the Chromium-based browsers Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera, and in the native apps for new Outlook, Teams, Front, Missive, and Superhuman.
Teams (in the app and on the web), OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint are also supported. OneDrive personal (onedrive.live.com) support is coming soon.

Where can I drop files to?
Anywhere a Windows application accepts files—Slack, Teams, SharePoint, browsers, Adobe Creative Cloud, CRMs, you name it.
Does Magic Dragin duplicate files?
No extra copies. We use the same temporary file that would normally be created when you download an attachment or drag to Windows Explorer.
Do I need to sign in to my email account separately?
Nope. Magic Dragin works with the session you already have open in Outlook, Gmail, or other email client.
Which platforms can run Magic Dragin?
Windows 10 and Windows 11 on x64 today. Windows ARM is under evaluation.

Is there an installer for mass IT deployment?
For IT deployment
Deploy at scale with the MSIX package. It installs to a centralized per-machine location and updates itself without user intervention. To provision for all current and future users on a device:
Add-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online -PackagePath "<path to MSIX>" -SkipLicense- Alternatively, import the MSIX into Intune, SCCM, or your software distribution tool of choice.
- After provisioning, ensure the app launches once to enable its startup task. Use an Intune/MDM ApplicationManagement → LaunchAppAfterLogOn policy or trigger the MagicDragin.exe execution alias via logon script, startup folder, or registry Run key.
For individual installs
Setting up a single workstation? Grab the standard installer instead.
